SPIGHA FLEET 4.0 · FAQ
Everything you want to know before you start.
We answer the most common questions about how Spigha V4 fleet control works: what it includes, how it is deployed, what equipment you need and how much it costs.
01The platform
What is Spigha Fleet 4.0?
It is a satellite-based fleet and asset management and monitoring platform. It brings together the real-time map, reports, maintenance, fuel, geofences, alerts, cameras and sensors in one place, and adds Roby, an integrated AI that supervises your control processes.
How is it different from other tracking platforms?
Most of them display data and leave the work to your team. Spigha V4 analyzes it: Roby supervises the operation continuously, detects anomalies and creates the corrective task without anyone asking. It also includes cameras and IoT sensors in the same subscription, confirms deliveries by GPS and does not require long-term contracts.
Which modules are included?
There are 13 interconnected modules: real-time map and monitoring, reports and dashboards, preventive maintenance, fuel control, geofences and points of interest, alerts and emergencies, trip and stop history, customers, visits and deliveries, Roby (AI), vehicles, drivers and users, driver mobile app, cameras and onboard video, and industrial IoT sensors.
Which devices can I use it on?
Any device with a browser: computer, tablet or phone. Your drivers also have their own mobile app.
Is it available in other languages?
Yes. The website and the platform are available in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with human support in your team's language.
02Tracking and control
What can I see on the live map?
The position of every vehicle, whether it is online or offline, moving or stopped, its speed, whether the engine is on, its route trail and an event timeline. You can choose between a free map, satellite or Google Maps, and use the 3D viewer and Street View.
Can I review a trip that already happened?
Yes. The history keeps trips and stops for each vehicle by date range, with kilometers driven, actual stop times and trip playback on the map. It also detects speeding.
How do I confirm a delivery or visit took place without calling the driver?
You load your customers and points of interest on the map (warehouses, branches, dairy farms, job sites). The system matches the GPS route against those locations, detects when the vehicle arrived and how long it stayed, and records it in the visit control report, exportable to CSV or PDF.
What are geofences?
They are zones drawn on the map, circular or polygonal, that you link to one or more vehicles. You can get a notice when a vehicle enters, leaves or stays outside the authorized area. They can also be imported and exported.
What kinds of alerts can I set up?
Speeding, unauthorized stops, use outside working hours or the allowed radius, low battery, device disconnection, idling, harsh braking and acceleration, geofences and panic. Each rule has its own validity schedule, severity and a control to avoid needless repetition. Notices go out through several channels, such as email or SMS.
03Maintenance, fuel and drivers
How does preventive maintenance work?
You define plans by mileage or by date and the platform warns you when a due date approaches. You log services and repairs (including unplanned ones), manage suppliers and workshops, and have the full history of every vehicle.
How is fuel controlled?
Each fill-up is logged with fuel type, quantity, price, receipt, kilometers and a photo of the ticket. The platform calculates efficiency (km/L) by learning from the GPS history and not only from the declared figure, so it helps you spot consumption that does not add up.
What does the driver app do?
Drivers log fuel from their phone with a photo of the receipt, identify themselves with their NFC key fob or a backup QR code, report breakdowns or incidents with a photo and notes, and have a panic button (SOS) that immediately alerts the control center. They can also consult their AI assistant.
How is each driver identified in the vehicle?
With an NFC key fob or a backup QR code, with no passwords to remember and no manual assignment sheets. This way it is recorded who drove each vehicle.
Can I manage different roles and permissions?
Yes. You can create, edit and remove vehicles, drivers and users, with roles and permissions by function. Admin users are unlimited.
04Reports you can export
Which reports can I get?
Trip report with playback and speeding, trip and stop history by vehicle and date, performance per vehicle (maintenance, fuel and kilometers driven), fleet summary, visit and delivery control by customer, and the history of each customer or point of interest.
Which formats can I export to?
CSV or PDF, ready to share with management, a customer, a cooperative, an auditor or a regulator that requires proof of compliance.
Can I filter a report by vehicle, customer or date?
Yes. Reports can be queried by vehicle, by customer or point of interest and by date range, and you can cross visit control with speeding and stops to understand how each trip was carried out.
Are there dashboards with indicators?
Yes. Executive dashboards show real-time indicators of savings, productivity and fleet availability.
Are they useful for audits?
Yes. The full history of trips, stops, visits, fuel and maintenance is recorded per vehicle, so you can show what happened, when and with which driver.
05Driver scoring
What is driver scoring?
It is a rating of each driver's driving, built from the real data of their trips. It lets you compare drivers, recognize the best ones and spot in time who needs coaching.
Which data is taken into account?
The driving events the platform already records per driver: speeding, harsh braking and acceleration, idling and unauthorized stops. Each driver is linked to the trip through their NFC key fob or QR code.
What is it useful for in my operation?
To reduce accidents, fuel consumption and vehicle wear, and to protect the cargo (especially in the cold chain and animal transport). It also gives an objective basis to train, reward or correct.
Can I see a driver's progress over time?
Yes. Since all events are kept in the history by date, you can review how a driver's behavior changed between one period and another and export the detail to CSV or PDF.
06Roby, cameras and sensors
What is Roby?
It is Spigha's integrated AI. It knows the state of your fleet, your alerts and your rules, and continuously supervises each control process: it detects idle vehicles, frequent excess fuel use or speeding, overdue maintenance and skipped stops, and creates the corrective task automatically.
Is the AI charged separately?
AI is part of the product and is contracted in packages: you choose the one that best fits your operation and expand it when you need to, with no billing surprises.
Can I have cameras in my vehicles?
Yes. You can watch live and on-demand video from the cameras installed in each vehicle, one at a time or in a simultaneous view of the whole fleet. It works as visual evidence to review an event, a complaint or the condition of the cargo. It is included in the subscription.
Can I monitor sensors such as temperature or tanks?
Yes. You can supervise temperature, door openings and tank levels, with dashboards per customer and automatic alerts if a value goes out of the allowed range or a sensor stops reporting. It is key for the cold chain and is included in the subscription.
07Meat plants and live poultry control
How is the cold chain controlled?
With IoT temperature sensors in each vehicle. You see the temperature in real time and get an email or SMS alert as soon as it leaves the allowed range, with an immediate notice if a sensor stops reporting. The history is available for a sanitary inspection or audit.
What controls exist for live poultry transport?
The full trip of each load is controlled: route, time on the road and time spent at farms and at the plant, detected by GPS through geofences and points of interest. Harsh braking and acceleration are recorded per driver to reduce stress on what is being transported, and alerts warn about delays or unexpected stops.
How does it help reduce animal stress and losses?
By measuring harsh braking and acceleration, speed and stops on each trip, you can identify which drivers and which stretches cause it and correct them. It also helps shorten unnecessary waits at loading and unloading points.
Can I show the record during an inspection?
Yes. Each trip keeps its route, times, stops and, when there are sensors, the temperature, and everything can be exported to CSV or PDF.
08Food delivery
How do I confirm a food order arrived?
The system detects by GPS when the vehicle reached each customer, how long it stayed and with which driver, and records it in the visit control report. It is the delivery confirmation, without calling the driver.
Can I protect the temperature of what I deliver?
Yes. With sensors in the vehicle you get automatic alerts if the temperature leaves the range or if a door is opened when it should not be, and the whole route is recorded.
How are delivery routes controlled?
You load your customers as points of interest and review, by date, which visits were made, at what time and what was missed, crossing visit control with stops and speeding.
09Dairy: dairy farm route control
How is milk collection at dairy farms controlled?
Each dairy farm is loaded as a point of interest on the map. When the truck arrives, the system automatically records the arrival and the time spent there, which confirms the collection without anyone having to call.
Can I audit which farms were visited during the day?
Yes. The visit control report shows, by farm and by date, which vehicle stopped by, with which driver and at what time it entered and left, and it can be exported to CSV or PDF. The history of each farm lets you review how often the usual visits take place.
Are contracted carriers also controlled?
Yes. From the same dashboard you can follow your own fleet and that of contracted carriers, and review speeding on rural roads and stops outside what is expected.
What about fuel loaded in the field?
Drivers log each fill-up from the app, with a photo of the receipt, kilometers and amount, and the platform calculates the efficiency of each vehicle.
10Logistics: delivery of products and services
Does it work for product deliveries and for services too?
Yes. It works for any customer visit: a goods delivery, an installation, a technical service or a pickup. Each customer or branch is loaded as a point of interest and the system records when the vehicle arrived and how long it stayed.
Can I follow my trucks and third-party trucks on the same map?
Yes. You can see your own fleet and that of contracted carriers on a single map, identify each driver with their NFC key fob at the start of the shift and receive email or SMS alerts for any incident.
How do I prove to my customer that the service was done?
With the visits report: vehicle, driver, arrival and departure time, exportable to CSV or PDF to report to a customer or a regulator.
How do I keep an eye on operation times and costs?
You cross visits with stops and speeding, control fuel and schedule maintenance by mileage or date, to avoid unplanned downtime.
